ACCESSING YOUR ROSTERS
You can access your rosters at www.futsalballarat.com.au/rosters. You will also be sent an automated email in the days prior to each shift.

ROSTER PROCESS
- Management will message the WhatsApp group requesting all unavailability’s for the term.
- Submit your unavailability’s for the upcoming term at www.futsalballarat.com.au/my-unavailabilities
- Unavailability’s close 5pm on Thursday of week 1 each school holidays
- Management will then create the roster for the entire term which will be released during week 2 of each school holidays
Notes
- Once rosters are released, you are obliged to complete your shift or swap with another team member.
- Submission of unavailability’s and shift swaps need to be approved by management.
UNAVAILABILIY PROCESS
- Prior to 5pm on Thursday of the first week of school holidays
- Add an unavailability through your website portal.
- More than 48 hours prior to the shift
- Swap shift with other team member and advise Dermott for approval of swap request
- Less than 48 hours prior to the shift
- Call Dermott and advise reason

UNIFORM
Futsal Ballarat will provide you with 1 referee top to wear whilst refereeing. In addition to this, referees are required to wear a pair of plain trackpants and running shoes. Team members are not permitted to wear the following items whilst refereeing:

PHONES
Phones are not to be used on court and are to be kept in the office.
START TIME
Your roster will show you the kickoff time for your games. This means you will need to arrive a minimum of 5 minutes prior to kickoff to ensure you are ready to commence the game at the scheduled time.
COURSES & EDUCATION
Futsal Ballarat are committed to upskilling our people and ensuring they have the appropriate knowledge and skills to complete their roles to the best of their ability. Upskilling includes theory-based referee courses and development sessions as well as practical sessions with direct feedback.
New and developing referees are allocated games in conjunction with experienced referees and overseen by on court referee managers as wella as the management team.
COMPLAINT & INCIDENT HANDLING PROCESS
- Referees to deal with the issue in question on court
- If the referees are unable to resolve the issue, escalate to venue supervisor
- Venue Supervisor to resolve incident at the venue
- If the venue supervisor is unable to resolve the issue, escalate to Directors
- Direcrtors will then resolve the issue
Note: All issues must be acknowledged and communicated to venue supervisor on the day. This is imperative, as it allows us to deal with the incident at the point of interaction as well as monitor for repetitive behaviour by any player, coach or spectator and eradicate it.

REMUNERATION & STATEMENT BY SUPPLIER
All team members are required to complete an Australian Government – Australian Taxation Office - Statement by Supplier (SBS) form prior to commencing refereeing for us. All our referees complete this form as:
- You are an individual
- You have supplied goods or services (refereeing) to another enterprise (the payer – Geelong Futsal), and
- You are not required to quote an Australia business number (ABN)
Reason for not quoting an ABN Section: Place X in the box: made in the course or furtherance of an activity done as a private recreational pursuit or hobby.
Note: Futsal Ballarat and the BDSA do not employ full-time professional referees. All refs are engaged on the basis of refereeing as a recreational pursuit or hobby.
All team members are paid under the following scale which is predominantly based upon age.

Notes
- Pays are completed on a weekly basis every Tuesday for the previous Monday - Saturday.
- All referees are paid under SBS form, meaning you don't need to pay tax on money earned.
- Team members may have a 48 hour wait period for their first pay for the bank to clear the payment.
